Trench Group Strengthens Leading Market Position in China

Long-Term Partnerships Support China’s Grid Expansion

Trench Group GmbH has signed long-term supply agreements with three of China’s leading transformer manufacturers – TBEA, TWBB, and SPECO. These strategic partnerships, which extend into the next decade, underscore Trench Group’s technological leadership in the field of high-voltage bushings.

China is currently undertaking one of the most ambitious power grid expansion initiatives in the world. As part of its national energy transition, the country aims to efficiently transmit large volumes of renewable energy – particularly from wind and solar farms in remote regions – to urban and industrial centers.

This effort requires the rapid deployment of ultra-high-voltage (UHV) transmission lines and modern substations. High-performance, reliable components such as Trench’s high-voltage bushings are essential to realizing these infrastructure goals.

These framework agreements are further proof that our bushing technology is trusted and in demand across the globe – not only because of its outstanding quality, but also due to our continued innovation.
The fact that three of the most prominent transformer manufacturers in China have committed to long-term cooperation with us reflects strong confidence in our solutions and demonstrates the relevance of German engineering for the global energy transition.
