Station Service GIS Voltage Transformers utilizing Conventional gas insulation provide low-voltage power directly from HV potential in substations, with the proven Trench design and highest reliability.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • For voltage levels up to 420kV
  • Single phase units with power outputs <10kVA up to 167kVA
  • Complies with the specific requirements of the SSVT standard, dual IEC and IEEE logos
  • Continuous gas density monitoring and alarm thresholds. Optional analogue output signals are available

GENERALS

  • Designed and manufactured without partial discharge
  • Scalable design with 3 units in 3-phase systems or additional units connected in parallel
  • No maintenance for a long life of over 30 years

Design

A safe and reliable design based on Trench's inductive voltage transformers with conventional gas insulation and integral rupture disc. These SSVTs have been tested and proven in the field for over four decades.

High Voltage insulation

Optizimized voltage distribution achieved by trapezioid high voltage windings shapeform.

Low voltage Power supply

Optimised high-voltage coil for power output and specially designed low-voltage winding for power output. This allows a correspondingly large cross-section to be connected to the secondary outputs.
