Design

The explosion-proof design is based on the combination of a compressible insulating medium and the rupture disc.

Mechanical characteristics

Variable due to freely selectable installation position, wide range ferroresonance-free design without the use of external damping and excellent seismic behavior – depending on the GIS structure.

Internal insulation device, IID

When testing GIS switchgear, the VT needs to be disconnected to prevent saturation. IID is part of the VT design and while the IID can only operate at no load and no current, it is designed to isolate the VT from the GIS.

Response

Optimized high-voltage coil ensures consistent electrical stresses under both, transient and steady state conditions.
