Trench Group Enters Its Next Chapter with GE Vernova as New Owner

GE Vernova, a purpose-built global energy company, has signed an agreement to acquire Trench Group from its current owner Triton. The transaction is expected to mark a new chapter in Trench Group’s trajectory, combining the company’s portfolio and experience in high-voltage grid components with the global reach and industrial scale of GE Vernova.

The acquisition will help Trench Group to expand capacity, advance its technology roadmap, and access new markets to serve customers with even greater speed and resilience.

Trench Group has spent more than 130 years earning the trust of the world's leading utilities and grid operators. Joining GE Vernova will be a defining opportunity to build on that legacy with even greater capabilities and reach.

The transaction is expected to close in late 2027, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Until then, Trench Group continues to operate as a independent company under its existing governance structure.
