Trench Group and Hitachi Energy Sign Framework Agreement for Air Core Reactors

Trench Group GmbH has signed a comprehensive, long-term framework agreement with Hitachi Energy for the supply of Air Core Reactors for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems as well as for grid and power quality solutions.

The contract was signed by Dr. Bahadir Basdere, CEO of Trench Group, and Klaus Merklein, CCO of Trench Group, together with Niklas Persson, Managing Director of Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit, and Donato Scaccini, Head of SCM of Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit.

Through this collaboration with Hitachi Energy, we will make an important contribution to ensuring a secure and sustainable power supply in response to the growing global electricity demand.
As a technology leader in air-core reactors, we will leverage our expanding global capacities to shape the power grids of the future with reliability and resilience. This is a crucial step in supporting the global energy transition and decarbonization.
