Trench Group today announces the signing of an agreement to acquire Enerlux Power SRL (Enerlux), an Italian manufacturer of power capacitors and a well-established provider of power factor correction systems for medium- and high-voltage applications. Enerlux is recognized for its high-quality and reliable products.
Closing is expected in the coming months, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
This strategic acquisition significantly reinforces Trench Group’s position in the rapidly growing and increasingly important Power Quality segment. Enerlux’s capacitor portfolio will complement Trench’s existing range of capacitors. Moreover, power capacitors are frequently deployed in combination with Trench’s Air Core Reactors in customer applications, including FACTS and other advanced grid-stabilization solutions.
Customers will benefit from Trench Group’s strengthened capabilities as the company – together with Enerlux – advances toward becoming an integrated One-Stop-Shop for TSOs, EPCs, and solution providers, expanding its offering from individual components to comprehensive package solutions.
Leveraging Trench’s global footprint, sales network, engineering expertise, and strong customer relationships, Enerlux will be supported in further strengthening its existing business while accelerating expansion into new markets and applications, including HVDC.
Enerlux will continue to operate as a stand-alone entity while working in close collaboration with Trench Austria and Trench Italy, harnessing synergies across the entire value chain.
