In January 2022, Trench Austria decided to change over to energy efficient LED lights in all buildings as well as to implement motion and presence sensors in hallways, stairwells, changing rooms and the cafeteria.

In phase 1 and 2 the factory halls, hallways, stairwells, changing rooms and the cafeteria have been completed which saves up to 320,000 kWh per year. Another 500 m2 of office space will be adapted in phase 3. Half of phase 3 has been completed already and adds 50,000 kWh energy savings per year. 

With the completion of the change over project we are able to save 438,000 kWh on energy consumption per year.
