Trench Group GmbH, a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of high-voltage power transmission components and systems, has successfully completed a comprehensive refinancing of its existing debt capital structure. The inaugural capital market debut received very high demand from institutional investors both domestically and internationally and was oversubscribed multiple times. This step marks an important milestone for the company’s global growth strategy, following the successful carve-out and acquisition by Triton Partners on April 1, 2024. 

The refinancing includes a long-term syndicated loan (Term Loan B) with a volume of €380 million, a revolving credit line of €130 million, and a guarantee line of €75 million. The strong interest from investors led to an accelerated process, which allowed the company to benefit from current market conditions and to significantly reduce the interest margin to 350 basis points without any issuance discount. 

The funds will be used, among other things, to refinance existing debt. Additionally, the new, still conservative financing structure will support the company’s growth trajectory, particularly through investments in production capacities as well as research and development.
