Trench Group GmbH today announced the successful closing of its acquisition of Enerlux Power SRL (Enerlux). Effective March 2, 2026, the well-established Italian manufacturer of power capacitors and power factor correction systems for medium- and high-voltage applications has become an integral part of the rapidly growing Trench Group.

This acquisition marks another milestone in Trench Group’s growth, strengthening its position as a global technology leader in mission-critical grid infrastructure components and solutions. For decades, Enerlux has been known for its high-quality, reliable power capacitors and industrial power factor correction systems. Demand for power quality technology is rising sharply as complexity of global grids increases due to the expansion of renewable energy and rising electricity demand.

Joined forces for global growth: Substantial upside potential for Enerlux

By combining Enerlux’s capacitor expertise with Trench’s leading position in coils and instrument transformers, Trench Group now offers even more comprehensive and integrated solutions. Power capacitors are often deployed in combination with Trench’s Air Core Reactors in applications, including FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) and other advanced grid stabilization systems.

Leveraging Trench’s global footprint, sales network, and engineering expertise, Enerlux will strengthen its core business and accelerate expansion into new markets and applications.

Trench Group plans to bolster the Enerlux business with targeted investments in capacity, innovation, and people. The production site in Viadana and its 50 skilled employees become part of the global Trench Group network.

Enerlux will collaborate closely with Trench Groups Grid Reliability Business Unit and Trench Italy, to leverage synergies across the entire value chain.
