- SUSTAINABILITY AT TRENCH GROUP
- SUSTAINABILITY AT TRENCH GROUP
A responsible energy transition, built to last.
The energy grid is undergoing two transformations at once: the shift away from fossil-fuel-based power and the shift toward equipment that’s designed to last longer, use less, and be reused rather than replaced.
Meeting both demands more than reliable components – it demands technology built with circularity, durability, and lower environmental impact in mind, with our people, our partners, and the planet at the center of every decision.
Sustainability is the driving force behind how we innovate and grow. It defines our responsibility to deliver performance with purpose.

- Environment
Lower Impact, by Design.
Environmental responsibility starts with how we design our products and extends across our operations and value chain – because the real footprint of grid technology plays out over decades of service.
Sustainability is integral to our strategy
and long-term value creation – with decarbonization driving innovation, resilience, and measurable progress through technology, operational excellence, and strong partnerships.
What Our Environmental Culture Is Built On.

Responsible Operations
From Ambition to Action.
- Our first full carbon footprint - a complete greenhouse-gas inventory to the GHG Protocol, putting real numbers behind every decision.
- Renewable energy in action - on-site solar in Germany, Italy and China, plus certificates, already powering 82% of our electricity.
- Climate resilience - a TCFD-aligned climate risk assessment run across all manufacturing sites.
- Circularity in practice - closed-loop packaging, resin improvements, material reuse, and ~1,500 m³/year of water saved at a single site.

Independently Rated.
As part of our commitment to responsible business practices, Trench Group undergoes independent assessment through EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability ratings.
The assessment evaluates performance across 21 criteria spanning Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This was our first EcoVadis assessment as an independent company following our 2024 carve-out from Siemens Energy.
Completed in April 2026, it resulted in a Bronze Medal, placing us among the top 35% of companies assessed worldwide – a strong starting point as we continue to build out our sustainability program.
