EARTH-FAULT CONTROLLER EFC 70

Trench’s Earth-Fault Compensation Controllers are advanced systems designed to adjust Arc Suppression Coils (ASCs), to further compensate for earth fault currents, thereby increasing both the safety and efficiency of the system, even under extreme conditions.

EFC 70s
Trench's EFC 70s offers all the proven and established algorithms for tuning arc suppression coils to network conditions. Combining this with a modern versatile hardware platform and an easy to use operating concept.
EFC 70m
Superior multi-frequency current injection mode, making the tuning process resistant to network interferences. The current injection is mechanically and electrically integrated in the 19" rack design.
Cyber Security
Supports the state of the art requirements of cyber security (RBAC and LDAP IEC 62351-8) as well as secure firmware update / boot.
Optional Current Injection Device
ECI, the Current Injection Device is designed to generate differential measurements by injecting fundamental current into the zero-sequencing system.
Design Features
With customized and parameterized bicolor LEDs on the front display. With programmable functional keypad for user defined functions. Highly flexible due to software controlled inputs and outputs, free assignment of digital outputs to different status functions.
Hardware Options
Alternative power supply, additional digital input- and outputcards and a variety of other cards can be chosen in the configurator to build up the perfect match.
Software options
Supports multiple controllers on the same network with various options, external circuit breaker, resistor control, fixed coil control, SCADA, automatic Vo > Vmax switch and vectorial trigger.

A controller which ensures compensation of the earth fault current – thanks to its ability for automatically tuning an ASC by evaluating the resonance voltage maximum or by measuring the resonance circuit impedance.
