Dear Trenchies,

The first hundred days of being Trench Group are completed. It is the right moment to reflect and inform you about the latest developments and progress in forming our new company as a global independent strong player in the power transmission market.

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you for achieving the important milestone of becoming independent on April 1st.

I am extremely proud to be a part of this amazing team that continuously grows and welcomes new members.

Despite some minor challenges during the carve-out process, we have navigated this transition well and not only ensured business continuity but also grew our business impressively. This success shows what we can achieve together as a team. My compliments to all of you and my deepest respect and appreciation for your commitment and dedication.

Looking into the future, I want to emphasize that we are operating in highly privileged markets, which will continue to grow due to the inexhaustible demand for electricity. In addition, we are working for a privileged company that is one of the market leaders. This will materialize in an amazing 1 billion Euro order intake by the end of this fiscal year, with respective growth in revenues. To achieve this, it is crucial that we keep our focus on safety and operational excellence. I count on you to deliver our promises to our customers regarding quality and on-time delivery.

One important activity was the strategy kick-off meeting in June. We started defining our long-term goals and values for the Trench Group (Vision and Mission) and laid the foundation for our comprehensive growth plan (Full Potential Plan). Here, our company culture plays a crucial role. Therefore, we will initiate a wide-ranging cultural transformation program at the beginning of the next fiscal year. I believe that this is essential to strengthen our high-performance culture and ultimately achieve our ambitious shared targets.

We will close this fiscal year in less than three months. In addition to revenue and profit, I want you to embrace one very important item: please continue to generate a substantial amount of cash by collecting our money from customers and significantly reducing our inventories in the factories. In return, I promise to invest this money in growing and increasing the value of our company even more.

Kickstarting Our Future:
"We are Trench" Workshop

In June 2024, we held an impactful workshop titled “We are Trench” in Berlin.

This event brought together the CEOs and CFOs of our global factories, along with team members from our headquarter. The primary objective was to rebuild the Trench Group as a robust global entity following carve-out of Siemens Energy. This involves establishing the necessary structures, processes, and tools essential for sustainable and healthy growth.

Recognizing the complexity and importance of this endeavor, we’ve already established new central departments and recruited new talent to support and ensure these developments.

The Berlin workshop marked a pivotal starting point for global collaboration.

It’s crucial to understand that this workshop is just the beginning, and the real work will unfold with tangible actions and initiatives in the coming months.

Change is overarching our organization, which is undergoing a redevelopment process on different levels with the objective to be aligned between HQ and the factories, giving us the opportunity to create something new and different to be more efficient.

We examined various aspects of growth. Growth is change and a natural process for all living systems to evolve. It can be challenging and painful but is also enabling and rewarding. Growth is about quality (maturity, ability, versatility) and not just quantity (turnover, size). It occurs simultaneously on several levels: personal growth, team growth, and organizational growth. To enable Trench to grow, we must enable our teams and people to grow.
